Leeds United man Mateusz Bogusz has ‘recovered the spark’ at loan club Ibiza as he battles back from a serious knee injury.
That’s according to AS, who cover the Leeds loanee today as part of a look at the Ibiza squad today and their individual performances.
Bogusz has been on loan with Ibiza since July of last year, when he was initially sent out in order to get regular playing time and continue his development.
That deal was working out for him, but the loan was curtailed by a cruciate ligament rupture suffered in January of this year which saw him spent 181 days on the treatment table and miss the remainder of the season in Spain.
The decision was made for him to remain with Ibiza this season, with Leeds sanctioning another loan deal as playing time at Elland Road would have been limited.
He has steadily been working his way into the side since the summer, making substitute appearances in nine of the 12 games he was in the squad and starting two.
It’s a slow road to recover by AS say he now appears to be recovering from the injury that ‘slowed down his growth’.
According to the newspaper, the player is showing signs that he has ‘recovered the spark’ that he had in the past despite ‘intermittent’ appearances so far.
That will come as good news for Leeds, who will be hoping their youngster is adequately bouncing back from the serious injury he suffered last season.
