Juventus’ Weston McKennie has ended up on the agenda of Leeds United.
The midfielder has been linked to a handful of Premier League sides in the winter market and is now liked by the Whites.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Leeds are interested in the 24-year-old and have already made ‘first contact’ with the Serie A side to understand the feasibility to carry out a deal.
It’s claimed the two teams will continue to hold talks to ‘find a meeting point’, meaning an agreement for the player’s transfer. The two clubs are waiting to see how the negotiations evolve.
Leeds are co-owned by US based 49ers Enterprises and have American manager, Jesse Marsch. In addition to this, they also have the Juve player’s national teammates, Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams.
A move to Leeds will see McKennie reunite with Aaronson and Adams, and also play under his compatriot’s orders.
Leeds are trying to sign McKennie, but Gianluca Di Marzio doesn’t make it clear whether they are looking for January or next summer.
