While Leeds United are looking at the managerial market to try and find the suitable replacement for Jesse Marsch, they are also keeping an eye on the player one.
This is because Calciomercato.it are now reporting that the Whites are interested in Tajon Buchanan, who is currently at Club Brugge.
Leeds know the Belgian side well from their attempts to sign Charles De Ketelaere last summer, only for the player to head to Milan, so getting in touch with them shouldn’t be too hard.
The outlet make it clear that Inter are interested in him to replace Denzel Dumfries, but they face competition from ‘the usual’ Leeds for the right-winger.
Brugge are ‘asking for €30m’ for the Canada international, but the belief is that a deal could be done starting at ‘around €25m’, likely with bonuses on top.
While that might not sound like all that much, the tweet from the article’s writer, Raffaele Amato, seems to suggest that Victor Orta and co. really want the player.
That’s because he explains that Leeds are ‘in the lead’ when it comes to providing competition, and are a ‘further obstacle’ for Inter.
🚨Brugge bottega cara, per #Buchanan vuole incassare almeno una cifra intorno ai 25m. La concorrenza inglese, Leeds in testa, ulteriore ostacolo per l'#Inter e gli altri club italiani interessati al canadese. #Dumfries #Calciomercato @calciomercatoit https://t.co/VsXF0Ps75L
