About a month ago, reports from the French media first revealed the interest of Fulham and Leeds United in Paris Saint Germain youngster El Chadaille Bitshiabu.
Outlet Jeunes Footeux claimed the 17-year-old is ‘very appreciated’ by those clubs, who’d like to sign him in the summer window.
Now there’s been quite a boost for Fulham and Leeds in this chase, because according to Foot Mercato, PSG are actually keen on letting Bitshiabu go.
The problem for Fulham and Leeds is that PSG are not interested in a permanent move. The idea is to let him go for one season, with no purchase option, and then have him back in the squad.
Foot Mercato claims interested clubs have ‘already come forward’, even though their names are not revealed. It’s said this could be a ‘win-win’ situation, as long as the clubs are fine with this temporary spell.
Now it should be up to the Premier League sides to decide whether it’s worth having the youngster for just one season, or whether they are better off looking elsewhere, since their plan was seemingly to make him a long-term project.
