Scoring a rather spectacular goal in Watford’s latest game of the season back in the Championship against West Brom, Ismaïla Sarr could be leaving Vicarage Road rather shortly.

That’s what Foot Mercato are reporting on Wednesday, claiming the player is the subject of interest from Leeds United, who are ‘close to an agreement’ for the forward.

It’s said the Elland Road side want to make him ‘Raphinha’s successor’, even though they have already signed Luis Sinisterra, and talks are underway.

As well as being on the backend of talks with Watford, it’s said talks between the player and Leeds are ‘close to being finalised’.

Therefore, it appears the Whites are edging ever nearer making another big splash on the transfer market, although Foot Mercato are keen to add that Sarr’s arrival at Elland Road ‘remains conditioned to an exit’ taking place first.

Whose that could be isn’t said, but it means a sale is needed before Leeds can finalise this.
