Lazio are ready to offer €15m to Watford to secure the signing of striker Luis Suárez this summer.

The Colombian has been in red-hot form on loan at Real Zaragoza this season, with 17 goals in all competitions thus far.

He has subsequently earned himself admirers all around Europe, with clubs in Spain and Italy thought to be looking at making a move.

Lazio have been named among his suitors, with reports in Italy indicating that they are leading the race for his signature and were close to finalising a deal.

La Lazio Siamo Noi don’t go that far today, but they do confirm that Lazio are interested in the Watford man and ready to push ahead with a move.

According to them, Lazio have ‘blocked’ the striker thanks to his agents, who also represent Luis Alberto and Jony.

They are ready to offer €15m for his signature, with Lazio chief Igli Tare moving ‘early’ to secure his signature ahead of the competitions, namely Valencia and Atlético Madrid.

Watford’s stance isn’t made clear, although given we’ve seen rumours that the Hornets want as much as €50m for Suárez, Lazio’s initial bid may be on the low side.
