Last week saw claims from TeleMadrid that Zinedine Zidane has decided to leave Real Madrid at the end of the current season. Those claims were covered elsewhere in the Spanish media, but nobody else seemed to want to take a similar punt.
Nevertheless, options to replace Zidane have been rumoured, and that’s seen Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti linked with a surprise return to the club.
The Mirror reported it, and Garth Crooks, who likely doesn’t have much in terms of inside knowledge of Real Madrid, said they’re ‘sniffing’ around the Toffees boss.
Meanwhile, the media closest to the Spanish club haven’t jumped onboard with Ancelotti at all. There’s no claims of Real Madrid being keen on the Everton manager, and the man currently the subject of rumours is former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, along with claims of Raul possibly stepping up from the club’s youth system.
AS cover that today, and it’s again worth stating that Ancelotti isn’t even mentioned, which should bring some comfort to those Everton fans keen for the Italian to remain at Goodison Park.
