Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen is on Bayern Munich’s list of potential summer targets, but they’re unlikely to move for him unless they make big changes to their plans.

That’s according to BILD and their Bayern Insider Podcast, who insist the defender is very much on Bayern’s list this summer.

Huijsen is collecting a growing list of European suitors thanks to his performances at Bournemouth this season, where he has established himself as one of the rising stars in the Premier League under Andoni Iraola.

This international break saw him making his debut for Spain and impressing too, adding to his growing reputation ahead of what is likely to be a big summer.

Real Madrid have already been credited with a growing interest and BILD, via the Bayern Insider Podcast, insist that he is on Bayern’s list of potential summer transfers too. His €60m release clause is the big temptation at this point in time.

His rapid development is being closely monitored in Munich as Bayern’s executives, led by sporting director Max Eberl, although they think they are well set with the likes of Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Eric Dier, Hiroki Ito and Josip Stanisic.

There is a feeling that long-term injuries to Upamecano and Alphonso Davies could change that, although Christoph Freund has insisted that is not the case this week.

“Those aren’t really our considerations,” he said.

“We hope that Dayot Upamecano will be available again at the end of this season or at the beginning of the new season. Therefore, we don’t see any urgent need for action for next season either.”

That is something that could always change according to BILD and they’ve got the Bournemouth defender on their list as a result, like most of Europe at this point.
