Yakou Meité has played 22 times in the Championship for Reading so far this season, with 19 of those games coming as a starter.
The attacker has managed six goals and added an assist.
Joining Reading from PSG in the summer 2016 transfer window, he was loaned out to French club Sochaux last season and has been the subject of another attempt from his home country.
Le10 Sport report that Amiens have been trying to get a late deadline day deal for the player, having started their efforts today.
However, Le10 Sport aren’t confident of the deal going through, just because it’s thought there’s not going to be enough time to sort things out before the window closes. The move seems ‘compromised’ as talks between Reading and Amiens have hit a deadlock, and there’s not long left to change that.
The 22 year old has a contract with Reading last until 2022.
