Juventus’ Simone Zaza has signed a contract with West Ham, reports Gianluca di Marzio. However, there seems to be a minor change in the terms of the deal which shouldn’t matter much eventually.
Earlier, reports suggested West Ham have agreed to sign Zaza on a permanent deal worth €25m plus €3m in bonuses, but Di Marzio says Zaza has signed on a loan deal with a mandatory option to buy for €28m including bonuses.
A deal should now be announced quickly, and the Italian striker is expected to join his new teammates soon. Zaza came close to signing for Wolfsburg earlier in the transfer window, but West Ham acted quickly after the deal collapsed with the Bundesliga club.
West Ham now won’t have to count the purchase on their books for this season, which would allow them to spend further if they so wish. Perhaps it’s a hint at further business on the way.
