Argentine striker Leonardo Ulloa stepped up at the right moments last season to help Leicester City clinch the Premier League title. Since then, the arrival of Ahmed Musa and Islam Slimani at the club has made it difficult for Ulloa to get enough regular playing time.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Super Deporte, former Valencia boss Pako Ayestaran asked the club to sign Ulloa on transfer deadline day. However, Valencia denied the request of Ayestaran after the arrival of Munir on loan from Barcelona.

With Ayestaran no longer at the Spanish club, maybe it could be considered unlikely they’ll again attempt to sign the 30-year-old in the future.

Ulloa has another couple of years left on his contract at Leicester City, and could consider his options in the future, if he doesn’t play more regularly.

Leicester City’s success in winning the Premier League title has allowed them to improve the quality of the club’s squad, which has inevitably seen some players pushed down the pecking order.
