Two days ago, Bold.dk explained Burnley and Everton are among the ‘hottest clubs’ chasing Brøndby goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

It was also explained the 22-year-old wants to change clubs in the next window.

Tipsbladet focus on Burnley, after Vincent Kompany was at the Brøndby Stadium last weekend.

The Clarets manager has already admitted his visit to Denmark was to look at possible targets for the Championship leaders.

Tipsbladet editor-in-chief Troels Bager Thøgersen claims the former Manchester City star’s scouting mission is as a ‘sign of an upcoming transfer’.

The Belgian hasn’t revealed which players he watched in Denmark. According to Troels Bager Thøgersen, he was there to follow Hermansen.

“It seems likely that he had a real purpose, which could easily be to look at goalkeepers. I can also think of others Burnley could use in a promotion push, but let’s look at the goalkeepers first,” the journalist said.

“Mads Hermansen is significantly cheaper than Grabara. Brøndby still have to realise that they lag some way behind FCK [FC Copenhagen] when it comes to getting top prices for the players, and that won’t change by magic this summer.

“I don’t know if there is a clause in Mads Hermansen’s contract, but I wonder if we would have heard about it if that was the case. Then Brøndby can negotiate freely, and then we can talk DKK 40 and 50m [€5.3m and €6.7m].”

Burnley signed Arijanet Muric from Manchester City last summer and he’s been the No.1 at Turf Moor this season. Muric has kept 16 clean sheets and conceded 28 goals from 36 league games.

If Burnley were to sign Hermansen, he could compete with Muric to become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper next season.
