Huddersfield Town got a fantastic result this weekend, as they beat Watford 4-1 at the Vicarage Road in the Premier League.
The win has put the Terriers now in 11th place in the table, which is quite a great achievement for a recently promoted club, being so far from the relegation zone by the Christmas period.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner was interviewed by the Brazilian media after the game, and couldn’t hide the smiles following such a victory.
“I think so far so good”, the manager told ESPN Brasil.
Asked if his table position is above what he expected, Wagner said: “No, but as good as I hoped, maybe and for sure much better than a lot of pundits predicted.”

Then reporter João Castelo Branco asked if the manager would be happy with that position at the end of the season. David Wagner had a loud laugh before answering to that question: “You know we’re Huddersfield Town? So you’re seriously asking if we’d be happy with being midtable at the end of the season?
“We’re happy with everything that is above the relegation zone. Whatever it is, so this is where we would be happy with.”
Huddersfield now seek their second win in a row when facing Southampton at the St Mary’s stadium next Saturday. As the Saints are only one position behind the Terriers, a win would be a great chance for David Wagner’s side to finish the first half of the season in the top half of the table.
