The German media now shares all the details of the handshake between Liverpool and Bayern Munich for the transfer of Ryan Gravenberch.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg writes on Twitter that a ‘total agreement’ between the clubs was reached tonight, and the move is now a ‘done deal’.
According to the reporter, Gravenberch is arriving in Liverpool tonight, and has a medical booked for Friday.
It’s said the Reds will be paying Bayern Munich €40m up front, with another potential €5m in bonuses.
Plettenberg highlights that Jurgen Klopp was ‘crucial’ for the deal to happen, as he spoke to the player, convincing him about Liverpool’s project.
Gravenberch is now ready to sign a contract with the Reds which will run until 2028.
Liverpool had already signed Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis MacAllister and Watary Endo this summer, and now continue to reinforce their midfield.
With the departures of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner and Fabio Carvalho, it’s fair to say that all the effort to strengthen that sector was more than needed at Jurgen Klopp’s side.
