It seems Tottenham Hotspur will have to face some well-known competition to sign Willian Pacho.
That’s because, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are also interested in the Eintracht Frankfurt player.
Tottenham’s chase for Pacho isn’t exactly something new, as back in January, the very same reporter had already claimed that Spurs had watched him several times.
It turns out that in an update today, Tavolieri first confirms that Ange Postecoglou’s side want the defender, and then comes in with some information about Arsenal.
It’s now claimed that the Gunners are also targeting the Ecuadorian defender and could battle for him in the summer window.
Eintracht Frankfurt are surely aware that Premier League clubs are racing for his signing, and have set Pacho’s price at €50m.
For now, there’s no information on whether Arsenal or Tottenham have opened talks for the signing, as everything appears to be in early stages. As Tavolieri himself says, it’s a matter of ‘wait and see’ if the North London rivals will actually engage in this battle in the summer.
