Ahead of Newcastle United facing AC Milan in the Champions League in what could be a decisive game for both teams, Milan News decided to have a chat with DAZN journalist Roberto Gotta.
The main point of the article was to give Milan fans a run down of Eddie Howe’s team, who find themselves heading into the clash coming off two defeats against Tottenham and Everton.
This means Newcastle have a point to prove, but could be morally hurt by their recent results, but that doesn’t mean AC Milan should rest on their laurels, as they have had issues of their own.
One player in particular who could cause damage is Anthony Gordon, described as a winger who can ‘go past his man and create numerical superiority’.
However, the two that have really impressed Gotta are the Brazilians.
He added: “Then there’s Joelinton, a footballer completely transformed by Howe. Guimaraes, too, who is always very dangerous physically and with his head, deserves a special mention.”
As for where Newcastle could be vulnerable, there is one player in particular Gotta feels Milan can target, and that’s Kieran Trippier.
He said: “If Leão plays, he could be a key factor on that front, one on one at full speed. It will also be curious to see how Howe will respond. Perhaps he will decide to double the Portuguese with young Miley…”
