Adama Traoré has made only four starts in all competitions for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, and has a greater number of league appearances from the bench.

The winger has failed to score or register an assist this term, and there’s also regular talk about his contract situation at Molineux.

His current deal lasts until 2023 and the English press have stated the 24-year-old has reached a stalemate with the Wanderers over a contract extension. Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona have been weakly linked with the Spain international.

Last month, we carried a report from Mundo Deportivo, which explained Jürgen Klopp ‘wants’ the Wolves attacker, but the Reds will need €70m to complete his signing.

Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico once again backs the newspaper’s report from October and states Klopp liked Traoré for the English champions.

The Wolves wideman was at Barcelona for close to a decade before leaving them for Aston Villa in 2015.

Addressing the recent reports from the British press about the Catalan club’s interest in the Wolves wideman, Rico claims Traoré’s return to Barca is ‘unviable’.

The journalist has ruled out a Barcelona move for the Spaniard, but doesn’t provide an explanation over why it’s ‘unviable’ for Ronald Koeman’s side to sign Traoré.

As usual… it’s probably down to money.
