Ezgjan Alioski is the first choice left-back at Elland Road this season, but his future remains uncertain because his contract with Leeds United will expire on June 30th.

This could see the Whites search the market for a new left-back and the need will only increase if the Macedonian leaves the club in the summer.

A fortnight ago, we covered multiple claims made in the Dutch press about Marcelo Bielsa’s side wanting to sign Ajax’s Nicolás Tagliafico.

The Premier League side’s effort to sign the defender is once again discussed, this time by De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij, who mainly focuses his coverage on the Amsterdam club.

Verweij mentioned the English club in De Telegraaf’s podcast, Kick-Off, as relayed by Voetbal Primeur.

The journalist claims Leeds United’s interest in the Argentina international is ‘more serious than everyone assumed’, and that’s about the only information Voetnal Primeur have on it. Apart from Bielsa’s side, Inter Milan are also named as a suitor for the 28-year-old.

Tagliafico’s contract runs down in 2023 and two days ago, his agent revealed there exists an agreement with Ajax to change clubs in the summer, provided the Eredivisie side receive a “suitable offer”.
