Getafe manager José Bordalás is very much being pushed towards Crystal Palace’s list of replacements for Oliver Glasner.

That’s according to Cadena SER. They pick up on the emerging reports about the Getafe manager and Crystal Palace today.

Reports from various sources have indicated that Bordalás is on Crystal Palace’s list as they line up potential replacements for Oliver Glasner.

Glasner’s contract is due to expire in the summer, and he is yet to commit to a new deal. Crystal Palace are keen to get the Austrian signed to an extension, but that’s yet to happen. They now appear to be planning in case it never does.

Cadena SER report that Crystal Palace have identified Bordalás as a replacement for their current manager. According to them, Glasner ‘has no intention’ of signing a new contract at Selhurst Park.

His intention, apparently, is to take over one of the ‘Premier League giants’ next season. Thus, Crystal Palace are working in replacements and Bordalás is one of them.

He is ‘highly regarded’ by those in charge of the Eagles, although no contact has been made between the two parties as yet. Cadena even argue that it’s a move that could make sense as it Bordalás has an ‘affinity’ for the Premier League. His former player Christantus Uche is also at Crystal Palace.

Again. we’d throw doubt on this given the Spanish claims are ruling out a Glasner renewal, just days after the manager himself spoke of ongoing talks. Bordalás also has a contract expiring in the summer, and this story could be encouraged by his camp.
