Serbian international Marko Grujic was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing at Liverpool, and the German boss is looking to sign another young midfielder this summer.

Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski has been strongly linked with a move, but Liverpool have failed to reach an agreement with Udinese.

Similarly, Borussia Monchengladbach are keen to keep Liverpool target Mahmoud Dahoud, and the Reds face an uphill battle to sign him.

Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves has been linked to Liverpool in the past, and reports suggest he might be on his way out of Porto.

According to Portuguese website DN Sports, Neves’ agent, Jorge Mendes is trying to negotiate a way out for him from Porto.

DN Sports say Porto are hoping to pocket at least €20m from Neves, and that Jurgen Klopp is a big fan.

It has been reported Porto need money to settle their finances, and could be forced to sell some players, and it remains to be seen if Liverpool are prepared to take advantage of the situation.

It appears Klopp wants to add some young players to his midfield, as he did during his time at Borussia Dortmund and Neves may well be available on the cheap.
