Crystal Palace are making moves to sign Palmeiras youngster Kevin, according to claims from Brazil.
The information is brought by journalist Jorge Nicola, who, on Youtube, shares interesting details of how this pursuit is going.
It’s claimed that Crystal Palace owner John Textor recently made an approach to Palmeiras with the idea of signing Kevin.
It’s well known that the businessman owns other clubs, including Brazilian side Botafogo, but it’s made clear that the player’s destination would be the Premier League side.
According to Nicola, Textor ‘suggested’ a €9m bid, and Palmeiras let him know they had already turned down a €10m offer for the youngster.
The club are said to be willing to negotiate the sale, as long as it’s for a higher amount. They’re also focusing on buying a bigger share of the player, since 50% of his transfer would currently go to his former side Deportivo Brasil.
Kevin is a 20-year-old who has only played two matches for Palmeiras’ first team. He was part of Brazil’s squad which played at the U-20 World Cup last month.
