Fulham have become the latest club to be credited with interest in Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán.

That’s according to Colombia’s Antena 2, who say the striker ‘would leave’ Aston Villa in the summer window.

The Colombia international’s game time has been limited since he joined Aston Villa from MLS side Chicago Fire in January 2023. Fulham and a few other clubs are ready to open their doors for him.

Over the past week or so, the sports media in Colombia and England have stated Durán is set to join Chelsea.

Antena 2 say the negotiations with the Blues have stalled, and this has allowed Fulham to ‘enter the bidding’ for the 20-year-old in the ‘last few hours’.

As well as Marco Silva’s side, Manchester United are interested in the Aston Villa player. It’s to be noted claims from elsewhere have stated the Red Devils are keen on signing Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee, and that seems likelier.

Coming back to Durán, the report states Aston Villa won’t make it easy for Fulham or another club to sign him. It’s claimed Unai Emery’s side will need €40m to sanction the frontman’s sale this summer.

There’s no mention whether Fulham are willing to meet Aston Villa’s demand to sign Durán.
