Not many players have the courage of feeding transfer rumours right in the middle of a press conference for their clubs. But Ivan Perisic didn’t really mind doing it today.

Speaking to journalists ahead of Inter Milan’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, the Nerazzurri star was asked about the possibility of playing in the Premier League, and did not doge from the question.

“I have always said this is my dream, in football everything is possible, we will see in the future. Now I’m focusing on Inter,” Perisic said (via Calcio Mercato).

The Croatian international has been linked to several Premier League sides in the past few years, especially to Manchester United, who have reportedly interested since José Mourinho took charge of the team.

Mourinho took a trip to Croatia in March 2017 and then followed one of Manchester United’s biggest transfer chases in recent years. It was drawn out, it was dramatic, it even saw Perisic edging himself away from teammates in group photos… but it was also fruitless.

Things have been a little bit quieter in recent months, although reports from Italy continue teasing about interest remaining and a transfer being possible.
