Facundo Pellistri joined Manchester United in October 2020 and had to wait until January 10th to make his senior team debut, when he came off the bench in the Red Devils’ 3-0 EFL Cup victory over Charlton Athletic.
Erik ten Hag was pleased with the cameo and said the winger has a future at Old Trafford. That has not stopped reports linking him to other clubs, including Flamengo.
On Thursday, O Glogo reported Flamengo and Manchester United are in advanced talks over a deal for the 21-year-old.
It was also explained that the Brazilian club want to take him on a loan deal with an option to buy and the Premier League side are interested in this proposal.
Torcedores.com back-up Flamengo’s loan offer for the Uruguay international and have also managed to get a comment from the player’s representative.
“It’s difficult. Manchester [United] want permanence. We are talking about a 21-year-old who is a regular for his national team and plays for Manchester United. There will only be negotiation with a good offer from Flamengo,” Pellistri’s agent told Torcedores.com.
The report adds Manchester United would be willing to negotiate the South American’s transfer for around €15m.
