Feyenoord midfielder Tonny Vilhena has drawn attention of AS Roma sporting director Monchi as the Serie A outfit are believed to be interested in the midfielder, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Another Italian publication Calciomercato has a short update on the 23-year-old and the report consists of two sentences and a headline, ‘big English [club] on Vilhena’.
The first sentence mentions that Eusebio Di Francesco’s side are not the only club interested in the left sided midfielder, and the second sentence claims the Netherlands international is also a ‘goal for Tottenham’ Hotspur.
Nowhere in the report is it mentioned if either of the clubs are willing to make an approach for the player in January or after this season.
Vilhena came through the ranks of the Dutch club’s youth system before being promoted to their first team in 2012.
Last season, he scored 11 goals and registered four assists in the league, and he has two goals and one assist in 14 league appearances this term.
The Feyenoord player’s contract will expire in 2020.
