After impressing at the U21 World Cup this summer, George Puscas is likely to have plenty of offers on the table.

One of the interested parties are newly promoted Sheffield United, and we covered a report from Sport.ro on their interest last month, which even claimed an offer had been made.

Since those Sheffield United claims a week ago, there’s been no talk of a move, with the player presumably enjoying a much-needed rest after his summer exertions.

However, he’s taken time out of his schedule to talk to Tuttomercatoweb, and the subject of his future came up.

He doesn’t talk about the links to Sheffield United, or any other club for that matter, but does say he will be discussing his future with his agent and admits he will consider ‘other championships’.

“I’ll take a few days off. Then we will decide together with my agents Catalin Sarmasan and Crescenzo Cecere,” he said.

“I’d like to stay in Italy. But I also evaluate other championships. It doesn’t just depend on me.”

If Sheffield United are interested, those should be words they’re picking up on intently because not only is Puscas admitting his interest in a move, but he’s also open to moving abroad.

And with Palermo relegated to Serie C because of financial irregularities, now could be the chance to sign a talented young player on the cheap.
