Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino isn’t prepared to sell Leeds United, according to claims in the Italian media. In the past week there have been reports Cellino wanted to sell Leeds United in order to purchase Serie B side Brescia.
TMW have revealed in the last hour Cellino wants to keep control of Leeds United despite speculation Italian businessmen were looking to buy him out.
In recent months, the Italian has bought all the shares in the West Yorkshire side, but still there have been claims he could return to his home country with Brescia. However, with these reports Cellino isn’t going anywhere, his plans to purchase Brescia have also been abandoned.
Last week reports in Italy suggested Cellino was interested in Brescia, as he looked to land himself a bargain. Brescia is now again an attractive club after the financial problems of recent years, and as a result the club was nearly sold in the summer.
However, with these latest developments it seems any possible Cellino approach will be put on hold for the time being.
