Juventus may make a move for Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira once they complete Joao Cancelo’s exit from the club.
Juve are looking to move Cancelo on this summer, although nobody is entirely sure why. Manchester City are keen on him, but any potential move to Etihad is currently being held up by their inability to get rid of Danilo.
Nonetheless, Juventus are on the hunt for a replacement for him and have identified several players. According to Calciomercato, Pereira is one of them.
The former Porto man is a player they have looked at in the past. Juventus would be particularly interested in him, given his characteristics are similar to Cancelo’s.
Pereira enjoyed a stellar first season in England, managing two goals and seven assists in 37 appearances after arriving in a €22m move in the summer.
Calciomercato don’t mention how much Leicester would want for their man, although it’s unlikely the Foxes would be willing to sell a key player for anything but a considerable price.
Should Pereira be unavailable, Juventus also like the look of Kieran Trippier, yet Tottenham’s demands are making that deal a difficult one to complete.
Juve want a player like Joao Cancelo for much less money than they can sell the player for. It’s a lofty task, and it’s unlikely they’ll find people willing to help them at Leicester City.
