Linked with a move to Chelsea a week or so ago, Atalanta defender Andrea Conti has now been pushed towards another Premier League move, this time Leicester City.
TuttoMercatoWeb on Wednesday report the player has become a target for Claudio Ranieri, with the Foxes officially presenting the Serie A side for their star right-back.
The 22-year-old has been instrumental to the club’s good form in the Italian league this season, and his performances have caught the eye of many scouts.
However, all this interest will probably have to wait until the end of the season, as his agent, Mario Giuffredi, explained last week that no transfers would take place for his client in January, with Andrea Conti preferring ‘to concentrate’ on Atalanta for now.
Leicester’s offer is reported to have offered €7m for the player, but you would expect the Italian side to hold out for a bit more, considering the defender’s importance to their current plans.
Conti has made 20 appearances for Atalanta so far this season, scoring two goals and picking up three assists along the way.
