Chelsea fans are a great big bag of excitement right now. Antonio Conte’s first press conference for the club on Thursday went very well, and fans swooned as the Italian talked about a boost to the team and creating a fiery atmosphere.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport dedicate a double page spread in their Friday edition to the much loved Conte. Pages 16 and 17 are something of a celebration of what a good job he’s got himself and what a good job he’s expected to do.
The newspaper mock up a team to show Conte’s style, and they’d already squeezed N’Golo Kante in there before Friday’s French claims of a done deal.
The Italian newspaper also say that with Conte largely giving up on signing Leonardo Bonucci, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly could come into the picture again, to add to the squad’s defensive strength.
