Real Betis star Antony has admitted he is still playing catch up after barely training with Manchester United in the summer.

He shined once again on Wednesday evening as he bagged an 85th minute equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Europa League. He also bagged the assist for the Cedric Bakambu’s goal to open the scoring in the game.
They were his first goal and assist of the season following his return to Betis from Manchester United in the summer.
He joined the La Liga side in a €22m deal on deadline day of the summer transfer window after drawn out negotiations between Betis and United throughout the summer transfer window following his successful loan spell at the club in the second half of last season.
The forward was placed in the so-called ‘bomb squad’ at Old Trafford with several other players who were no longer a part of Ruben Amorim’s plans. And he now insists that has hurt his start to this campaign.
“I’m a little tired because I didn’t do preseason, I didn’t train in Manchester with the team. It was hard for me. It’s a bit difficult physically, but I feel better every day,” he said.
“I’m happy for the assist and the goal, but sad for the draw. Today I spoke with my brother, and before the game he told me he was going to score. I’m happy to score again at home, with the fans.”
