On Tuesday, Chelsea secured a 4-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League.

Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella all got their names on the scoresheet against the Saints.

Chelsea dominated at Stamford Bridge and FC Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup was in attendance to watch the Blues live in action against Southampton. This has now been confirmed by the manager himself during a chat with the Danish media.

Tipsbladet have relayed his comments and state he was on a ‘spying mission’ in London to take a closer look at the Blues.

Chelsea take on Copenhagen in last 16 of the UEFA Conference League and the first leg will take place in Denmark on March 6th.

The Danish club’s manager has explained why it made sense for him to watch the Blues face Southampton, who are currently at the bottom of the table.

“It was a day when we didn’t train, and Chelsea happened to be playing at home against a team from the bottom of the Premier League, so it made sense for us to watch the match,” he said.

The Danish league leaders face AaB on Sunday while Chelsea aren’t in action this weekend. This gives the Premier League club, who was favourites to win the competition, an advantage when they face Copenhagen next Thursday.
