Alexander Isak has given his first impression of Liverpool, the club and the city, since his move from Newcastle United.

The striker has kept himself out of the limelight after the drama around his move to Liverpool in the summer. He was undoubtedly the saga of the summer as he looked to force his move from Newcastle United. That eventually happen on deadline day.

Since then, he’s kept a low profile, preferring to focus on getting up to speed with Liverpool than talk to the cameras. Indeed, during the last international break, he skipped media duties entirely with Sweden.

That was much to the frustration of the aforementioned media, who instead had to try and elicit answers from his teammates about his transfer saga.

A few weeks on, it appears he’s happy to speaking to media once more, this time to sing the praises of Liverpool. That’s the club and the city in general.

“Great so far. A great team and a city where the team has a good relationship with the fans. It’s been great so far,” he said when asked about Liverpool.

And, in good news for the Reds and Sweden, it appears he believes he’s quickly getting back up to shape fitness wise.

“Tomorrow I’m ready for 90 minutes if needed,” he added.

“It’s been a month now. I’ve gotten a lot more playing time, and things have calmed down. I feel in a much better position now than last time.”
