Bologna signed Thijs Dallinga as a possible replacement for Joshua Zirkzee in 2024. The former Toulouse player has struggled to make an impact in Italy and has attracted interest from Ipswich Town.
So far this season, the Dutchman has four goals and four assists in all competitions. In Serie A, he has just one goal and a single start in the last six games. Dallinga has shown signs of quality in the Europa League but that hasn’t proved enough.
Il Resto del Carlino raise doubts about his Bologna future.
The newspaper report a proposal from Ipswich Town for the 25-year-old. The exact terms of the approach from Kieran McKenna’s side remain unknown. The Rossoblu are likely to be open to his exit, especially a permanent deal.
It is Dallinga who is dithering over a switch to Ipswich Town. The reason isn’t mentioned but there’s an assumption he would much rather play in the Premier League. He isn’t keen on joining a Championship club which is battling for promotion.
Ipswich Town not rejected just yet

Dallinga hasn’t outright rejected the offer from Ipswich Town yet. It is currently on hold, with the player waiting to make a final decision.
Bologna have already identified Fiorentina’s Lucas Beltran as a replacement. He is currently on loan at Valencia but a deal for the South American isn’t expected to be complex.
This comes right after Wednesday’s Il Resto del Carlino covered Valencia interest in Dallinga. Ipswich Town therefore have La Liga competition to face over the final days of the transfer window.
