According to a claim in the Turkish media, Ipswich Town are close to signing Fenerbahce attacker Ryan Kent.

The former Rangers winger has failed to make an impact since arriving in Istanbul and has also been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks.

Haber Ekspres have reported on Kent’s future at Fenerbahce, and they claim the Premier League side are in talks with the player over a transfer this summer. It’s reported the Turkish side have accepted a £2.5m offer from Ipswich Town and if there aren’t any setbacks he will make the move in the coming days.

Leeds United are said to have been interested in signing the player and the Turkish media outlet say the Championship side have been in negotiations. However, they’ve been unable to get an agreement with the Istanbul side and it now seems they will lose out to Ipswich Town.

Kent made just 18 appearances for Fener last season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to the Super Lig side until June 2028.
