Ipswich Town and Brentford have included Napoli’s Jens Cajuste in their list, according to Tuesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The midfielder joined the Serie A side from Stade de Reims in August 2023, and was mainly used as a substitute as he made 11 league starts last season.
Cajuste’s contract lasts until 2028, but the report says he has no future at the Naples club under Antonio Conte.
It’s claimed the 24-year-old is ‘on his way out’ of Napoli, and Ipswich Town and Brentford can offer him an exit route.
Corriere add the Premier League duo have already asked about Cajuste, likely to sign him on a loan deal this summer. It’s not specified whether the Kieran McKenna’s side or the Bees contacted Napoli, the player’s camp or both.
As well as Ipswich Town and Brentford, the newspaper mentions Leicester’s interest. It’s not made clear whether the Foxes wanted him in the past or in this window.
Galatasaray have shown interest, but the Sweden international has turned them down. He hopes to make a switch to the Premier League, where Ipswich Town and Brentford are interested parties.
