Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala has been subjected to firm interest from both Napoli and Juventus.
Earlier this week, Calciomercato stated the midfielder wants to leave the Premier League side and is flattered with the interest shown by the Serie A duo.
Enrico Sposato is an intermediary of the possible operation involving the Nottingham Forest star and he has given an interview to Napoli Press, relayed by Area Napoli.
The Belgium international’s deal lasts until 2026 but that won’t stop him from leaving Nuno Espírito Santo this month. The intermediary has revealed the Serie A winners and the Old Lady are keen on securing his services.
“The market creates new opportunities. Orel has a contract at Nottingham which he must respect until at least next year. This doesn’t exclude the possibility of taking new steps for his career,” he said.
“There’s keen interest from many clubs, some Italian. Now two clubs from the peninsula have appeared more forcefully than the others, trying to understand the margins for a transfer in this transfer session.”
“It’s clear that this is a very important deal for the Italian market following the regulations that push clubs to pay a little more attention to finances. Difficult transfer, but one that could evolve in the January window.”
When asked about the 25-year-old’s preference between the two Italian clubs, Sposato explained: “The player is focused on Nottingham. Napoli and Juventus? Two huge clubs: two of the top five most important Italian clubs in Europe. I bet any player hearing sirens from Naples and Turin is fascinated.”
“Needless to say, the brand Italy, Naples and Juventus still capture great charm and interest for the level and technical quality, but also corporate. I have no doubt that Orel is interested in Serie A and even more so in clubs like Napoli and Juventus”.
Earlier this month, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reported Galatasaray have made a concrete offer for Mangala. Two days ago, he also stated Rennes have also tabled a proposal.
Sposato has now confirmed Galatasaray’s offer and received an approach from the Ligue 1 side for the Nottingham Forest player. The intermediary also explains the conditions that’ll be considered by the Belgian to make a decision on his future.
“Orel is involved with the national team: he wants to compete with his national team at the European Championship at all costs. It’s clear that in some way there is the player’s interest in wanting to have visibility to participate in the European Championship. Serie A would remain Orel’s first choice: it attracts more than Ligue 1,” he added.
