With such strong rumours about Bayern Munich’s efforts to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, the Bundesliga giants don’t even bother to keep it as a secret anymore.
Club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen today held a press conference, and when quizzed about the Spurs’ star, admitted that they’re trying hard to get Kane signed.
The quotes are brought by Fussball Transfers, and shows the chief being very assertive about it.
“It is well known that we are very interested in him. And what Uli Hoeneß said is correct. But it’s best for us to go with the coach who said: the grass doesn’t grow faster if you pull on it,” said Dreesen.
Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Kane seems to have gotten more intense in the past few days, and on Monday morning, Bild had a story claiming Tottenham president Daniel Levy was ‘very surprised’ with Uli Hoeneß’s comments about him.
That was expected not to help the move.
On the other side, the French outlet Foot Mercato claimed that Paris Saint Germain are also very interested in signing Kane, and are ready to send Spurs an offer the club can’t refuse.
It was said that amount would be much higher than the €80m presented by the Bundesliga side.
Now with Bayern admitting they’re still in, perhaps the auction will continue.
