Manchester United are reportedly showing interest in Olympiacos’ Christos Mouzakitis.
This was first reported in the UK earlier this week, where a £40m [€45m] price tag was mentioned. It was also stated the midfielder’s price could rise if he continues to shine.
These claims have reached the Greek press, where Sportal.gr now share their own take on Manchester United interest.
The Greek source has been able to back up Manchester United interest, saying the club have an ‘excellent opinion’ about the 18-year-old.
Scouts have been sent to Greece to watch him in action for Olympiacos on several occasions. Club officials have been following him for a long time and could consider making an approach, likely next summer.
Manchester United probably don’t need to pay €45m

Sportal also dismiss claims that Olympiacos have informed Manchester United they’ve have set a €45m price. They make no mention of the youngster’s fee.
The outlet is unclear whether the Greece international will end up at Old Trafford in 2026. However, they are certain the ‘interest is real’.
AC Milan, Villarreal, Leverkusen and Napoli are also interested.
As you’ve probably worked out by now, this all sounds like it’s coming from an agent. That means it’s well sourced, but not necessarily accurate. Manchester United have been used countless times to hype up a player.
