Filip Kostic is set to depart Juventus. The Serbian was excluded from his club’s pre-season squad and Thiago Motta later confirmed that players who weren’t in that selection were not part of the project.

Kostic’s stint at the Bianconeri didn’t quite reach the highs that his time at Eintracht Frankfurt did, but a Premier League move might still be coming for him.

TuttoJuve reiterate today that Crystal Palace are actually quite keen on signing Kostic and that their ‘interest is real’.

Oliver Glasner’s side want a full-back who can provide competition to Tyrick Mitchell, and the manager knows Kostic well from his time in Germany.

The fact that Kostic will cost about £7m, and possibly less, makes it a rather easy deal for Crystal Palace. Bournemouth are also mentioned as an interested party but Palace want to ‘overtake’ the Cherries in the move for the 31-year-old.

Crystal Palace are said to have already initiated talks for Kostic, as this story drags on.
