Spending the season on loan at Juventus from Chelsea, Juan Cuadrado has been the centre of attention in the Italian media for a while, mostly linked with an extended stay in Turin.

The Serie A champions are keen to make the move permanent with a loan with a view to buy deal being touted, but Chelsea’s asking price of €30m has made things very difficult.

Juventus would only be willing to part with somewhere in between €22-25m for the Colombian, and since then, Marotta and co. have decided to turn their attention to Croatian winger Marko Pjaca instead.

Now, what does this mean for Cuadrado?

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan are trying to take advantage of Juventus’ change of heart regarding Cuadrado and have recently ‘intensified contacts’ with the player’s agent, Alessandro Lucci.

The Serie A side managed by Mancini are trying to rebuild their squad as best they can to better compete for Champions League football next season, and bringing in a right-winger has been a priority.

Antonio Candreva was one of their big targets, but with Cuadrado now apparently off Juventus’ radar, they have turned their attention on the Colombia international.

The new owners would be willing to part with the requested money for the player, but only at the end of next season, meaning a loan with a view to buy might be their best bet as well.

This is the first time we’ve seen Cuadrado to Inter Milan, and it’ll be interesting to see if it catches on.
