West Ham United will battle it out with other clubs for Red Bull Salzburg’s Oumar Solet, according to Foot Mercato.
The centre-back struggled with two different injuries in the first half of the season but has still managed to clock in over 2,100 minutes from 28 games.
West Ham, Bayern Munich, VfL Wolfsburg and AS Roma are all in the picture to sign him in the summer window.
The 24-year-old has just over 12 months left on his current deal and has no plans to sign an extension. The Austrian club don’t want to see him leave as a free agent in 2025 and are looking to cash in from his sale in the next window.
Both the Frenchman and Red Bull Salzburg want to part ways, and the likes of West Ham and others could come forward to sign him.
The report states Hammers have shown ‘strong interest’ and ‘intend to take advantage’ of the upcoming window to try to secure the player’s services. Roma are also keen and may provide competition to West Ham.
Foot Mercato say Solet’s sale could ‘bring in a lot of money’ to Red Bull Salzburg, without mentioning any figures.
