Leeds United’s Rasmus Kristensen will have to return to Elland Road after spending a season on loan at AS Roma.
The left-back made 29 league appearances for the Serie A side last season. He also made it to the Denmark squad for the Euros.
Friday’s edition of Ekstra Bladet claims 13 players from Kasper Hjulmand’s squad will have to find a new club in the summer window, and the Leeds man is one of them.
The newspaper says it will be a ‘busy and hectic’ summer for these players and it could have an impact the national team’s performances at the Euros.
Kristensen joined Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg in June 2022. The Whites sent him out on loan last summer after their relegation to the Championship.
Daniel Farke’s side missed out on the promotion back to the Premier League after losing the Championship play-off final to Southampton last month. Therefore, the 26-year-old has to ‘go find a new club’ this summer.
Ekstra Bladet haven’t specified whether Kristensen will leave Elland Road on loan or a permanent transfer.
On May 28th, Corriere dello Sport reported Roma could consider bringing the Leeds man back on another loan deal this summer.
