Russia’s Sport Express have published an article on Sunday denying rumours from Nigeria that Ahmed Musa’s move could be off.
A Nigerian website claimed Leicester City had put a block on the move, because they were insisting on a permanent transfer. CSKA Moscow only want to loan their former player at this stage, and if the claims had been true it would have seen the move collapse.
Sport Express, one of the biggest sport media outlets in Russia, say it’s ‘untrue’ Leicester are trying to block anything. It’s believed a deal can be completed soon and Musa will return to Russia on a temporary deal.
There’s no explanation whether there’ll be a buying option for CSKA in the Musa loan.
Musa moved from CSKA to Leicester in July 2016 but things haven’t gone as well as the 25 year old hoped.
Out of the main plans of Claude Puel, a move this month was always on the cards and now Leicester and CSKA will be working to get it over the line.
