Juventus’ Matias Soulé has been on loan at Frosinone this season and his fine displays have caught Crystal Palace’s attention. He’s managed 11 goals and three assists from 38 games.
Last month, we covered claims from Italy that the Eagles are one of the clubs to have sent their scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action for Frosinone.
On May 10th, Tuttosport stated Crystal Palace are ‘above all’ in the race to sign the winger in the summer window. It was also reported the Old Lady value him at €35m.
The striker has a €40m clause and is being chased by a few teams, including the Turin club. Bologna manager Thiago Motta is in firm contention to become Massimiliano Allegri’s successor, and if that were to happen, it would improve Juve’s chances of signing Zirkzee.
Juve have to raise funds to sign the 22-year-old Dutchman and that could come from Soulé’s sale to Crystal Palace. It’s claimed ‘a lot will depend on when’ Oliver Glasner’s side will try to make an approach for the Argentina U21 international.
This indicates the Italian club are waiting for Crystal Palace to make an offer for Soulé, who is likely to be sold in the next window.
As well as the South American, Juve could sell Enzo Barrenechea [on loan at Frosinone] and Dean Huijsen [on loan at AS Roma] to improve their finances.
