Earlier on Tuesday we covered claims from Spain about Sevilla once again being interested in Bryan Gil.
Ange Postecoglou left the player out of Spurs’ pre-season travelling squad, with the club confirming that Gil, along with Sergio Reguilon, had been given time off to look at transfer options.
Sevilla were said to want the player on loan with a purchase option of no more than €6m.
Obviously that doesn’t look like a great deal for Tottenham, and what the Premier League club need is a few sides competing to help push the price higher.
That may be happening already.
Mundo Deportivo report Girona, who finished third in La Liga and subsequently qualified for the Europa League, are keen.
They’ve made contact with Tottenham and are in ‘initial talks’ to take Gil. Everything is in the early stages, but in terms of interest the more the merrier for Spurs.
The 23-year-old joined the London side in July 2021 and has a contract with them until 2027.
