Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb has been following developments on the future of Simone Pafundi, who’s loaned by Udinese to Lausanne-Sport.
It’s said that since the 18=year-old found continuity at the Swiss side, they’re now considering buying him from the Serie A club by triggering their €15m clause.
Manchester United get a mention there, as Lausanne are also owned by INEOS, and the decision is set to be taken considering all of their clubs.
TMW reports that the INEOD idea would be to keep Pafundi in their ‘group’. The final decision is expected to be taken before the end of the month.
This isn’t the first time Manchester United are named as a potential destination for the youngster, as that possibility was revealed back in January.
When Lausanne first signed the player, it had been claimed that a good spell at the Swiss club could lead him to a long-term contract at Old Trafford.
The midfielder’s progress may be enough for the big investment, and in case they do buy him, it seems there’s a real chance he could dream of joining Manchester United.
