It’s with a lot of excitement that Swedish outlet FotbollSkanalen today features an interview with national team midfielder Filippa Angeldahl.
The 24-year-old has just completed a move to Manchester City, and the outlet makes sure to explain how this is a big deal for the player’s career.
“It feels great. I felt that I really wanted to take this step and try to be abroad,” Angeldahl told FotbollSkanalen.
The midfielder explained how impressed she’s been with the facilities at City, since arriving at her new club: “There is a difference in everything. It’s a big club and they have among the best conditions. It’s felt in everything around.”
Angeldahl arrived at Manchester City one week ago and has already been training with her new teammates. Fotboll kanalen calls it ‘an intensive start and a clear step up’ for the midfielder, who is clearly enjoying her new experience.
“I feel very motivated to get that into that training environment and then match it so that you always feel that you are developing. I’m here to play. It’s about doing the job and showing off, but I will fight to take a starting place.”
Following the 4-0 win in the opening fixture of the season, Manchester City and Angeldahl have two big challenges ahead, as they face Tottenham Hotspur at home this Sunday and then travel to London to play Arsenal on the 26th of September.
