Many Manchester City fans will have certainly watched the goal scored by Fluminense youngster Kayky at the weekend.

Even though reports from Europe say the Premier League side are still working on a deal to sign the 17-year-old, claims from Brazil insist he’s on his way to England, as only an official announcement is left.

It turns out that besides scoring that fantastic goal, Kayky also spoke to the local media. He was quizzed about the interest from Manchester City, and didn’t want to feed the rumours too much.

“My head is fine, focused on Fluminense. Regarding transactions, I leave it to my representatives, family and club to solve,” said Kayky (via UOL).

“I’m focused on playing. I’ll fulfil my dream of playing a Libertadores for Fluminense. I’m very focused and working to be able to do well in the Libertadores.”

The youngster highlighted his happiness at doing so well so early in his career.

“I’m living a dream, at a young age, to be able to have these things that I am having: to go to Libertadores so young, to be able to be in the starting line-up.”

Kayky only has two starts for Fluminense and scored in both games. His first performances for the first team have been drawing huge attention from the Brazilian media.

With reports saying Manchester City are only paying €10m for the striker, there’s a feeling among fans from the Rio de Janeiro side that he’s leaving them for too little.
