Luis Palma returned to Celtic after a loan spell at Olympiacos in the second half of last season. Brendan Rodgers’ side then allowed him join Lech Poznań on loan last summer.

The temporary move has worked out well for the winger as he managed four goals and three assists from 13 games. The Celtic has man travelled to Honduras for their World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Haiti.

He arrived in San Pedro Sula and ahead of joining the national team camp, the 25-year-old spoke to the media. La Tribuna relay the Celtic owned player’s comments, dismissing injury concern.

Palma says he’s just tired after making a long trip from Poland to Honduras.

“I’m fine, thank God, no injuries, just tired after a match. It’s been 48 hours since the trip, but that’s no excuse. I’m here to work and give my best,” he said.

Last month, the Celtic player started for Honduras in the World Cup qualifiers against Haiti and Nicaragua. He even assisted in their 2-0 win against the latter.

The attacker knows the clash against Costa Rica will be challenging for Honduras. He’s urged the national team fans to continue backing them.

“That support we had against Mexico was important and it has to be repeated. I want to tell the fans to keep believing, that we’ll give 100% to get results,” Palma explained.

“I imagine the Morazán Stadium will be crazy. Hopefully it’s like that for the 90-95 minutes. Enjoy it and hope the final whistle is a victory for us.”
